El Quinteto Clandestino  se forma en el año 2012, como un proyecto musical entre un grupo de músicos del barrio de Balvanera en Buenos Aires, uniendo sus experiencias colectivas en la escena actual del tango. El objetivo del grupo es interpretar un repertorio de tangos clásicos con arreglos nuevos y propios, pensados para públicos dentro y afuera de la pista de baile. Los arreglos representan un deseo de explorar nuevas posibilidades dentro del género, sin abandonar las características melódicas y rítmico bailables del tango.

 

 

Quinteto Clandestino came together in 2012 as a musical project between a close group of tango musicians from the Balvanera neighbohood of Buenos Aires. Bringing together their collective experiencies in the classcial and contemporary tango scenes of the city, the objective of the group is to interpret a repertoire of classical tangos with new arrangements, intended for audiencies on and off the dance floor. The arrangements represent the desire to explore new possibilities for the genre while not abandoning the melodic and aesthetic foundations, nor the characteristic danceable rhthms of tango rich musical past.
